Mission Statement
It is the mission of MASC, Inc., in cooperation
with coaches and parents, to provide a program that challenges all swimmers to achieve their full potential. MASC, Inc., is committed to encouraging the personal growth of each swimmer, building a positive team spirit, and promoting swimming as a competitive, fun sport.
More About Us:
Any child who can swim the length of the pool is eligible for membership. Membership is not limited to residence in the Tuscarora School District. A youth is eligible to swim with MASC until reaching age 19 on or before June 1.
What is the membership fee?
Current membership dues per season are $95 for swimmers.
Special rates apply for:
Swimmers age 8 or under, dues are $65.
Swimmers participating on a high school swim team, dues are $25.
When does MASC swim?
MASC has two seasons of swimming. The winter season begins with practices in October and ends with an All-Star meet in February. The summer season begins with practices in May and ends with an All-Star meet in July. In addition to scheduled league meets, MASC swimmers also have the opportunity to participate in special invitational meets and in the USA Swimming program to which a link may be found on the Home page.
Practices are held Monday through Thursday for one and a half to two hours. It is recommended that swimmers attend practices regularly to improve their skill, technique, and endurance.
